What You Should Know
Helpful Information
Welcome to Pest Police's FAQ section, where we provide answers to your most frequently asked questions. Our goal is to offer clear and concise explanations that are customer-focused and highly relevant. We aim to ensure that you have all the information you need to make informed decisions about pest control services. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to us for more details.
Do you offer a warranty? What does it cover?
Yes. Our standard programs for mice, cockroaches, and bed bugs include a 100‑day warranty. If the original pest returns during that time, we return and re‑treat at no extra charge.
For other services, such as perimeter pest control or wasp nest removal, warranty coverage varies. Some have shorter warranties (30–60 days), and some have no warranty at all. Call or text us for a quote, and we will tell you exactly what warranty applies to your specific situation.
Is your treatment safe for my pets and kids?
Yes, when applied according to the label. We use professional‑grade products that are safe once dry. Keep pets and children away from wet surfaces until dry (usually 1–2 hours).
For Birds: Birds are highly sensitive. We strongly recommend moving them to a friend or family member's home during treatment.
For Fish: Cover the tank completely and turn off the air pump until the treatment is dry and the room has been aired out.
Does having roaches or bed bugs mean my home is dirty?
No. This is the biggest myth in pest control — and it causes so much unnecessary shame.
Bed bugs are hitchhikers. They come home with you from hotels, public transit, movie theatres, or a friend's home. They do not care how clean your house is. Five‑star hotels get bed bugs just like budget motels.
Cockroaches prefer food and moisture, not filth. A clean home can get roaches from a neighbour's apartment, a used appliance, or a grocery bag. That said, a dirty home offers more hiding spots and food sources, so an infestation will grow faster. But the initial arrival has nothing to do with your housekeeping.
Do not feel ashamed, just call us so we can fix it.
